Job summary

AboitizPower is seeking a Mechanical Sr. Specialist to provide technical support for mechanical equipment across STG, Coal Handling, Water Treatment, and BOP areas.

You will work with Maintenance to deliver results, drive asset integrity, and optimize costs while contributing to a safer, more sustainable energy future. Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree (or are a Registered Mechanical Engineer) with 3+ years in turbine and auxiliary machinery, preferably including Coal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or registered Mechanical Engineer.
• At least 3 years of experience with turbine and auxiliary equipment (static and rotating), ideally with Coal Fluidized Bed tech.
• Experience in asset management and plan improvement is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to asset management practices on site for long term integrity and cost optimization.
• Understands the capital investment process and undertakes investment appraisal analysis.
• Supports the site team in ensuring all necessary technical activities are incorporated within the outage programme.
• Performs mechanical equipment root cause analysis to support site teams and provide investigative expertise.
