Job summary

FDC Utilities, Inc. in Makati City seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead front-end engineering design of boiler, steam turbine and BOP mechanical systems, and to supervise project management and plant operations tasks.

The role requires 7–9 years in power/energy, a licensed Mechanical Engineer, and readiness to be assigned across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao as needed. You will review EPC proposals, perform tests, and drive reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a state license is required.
• At least 7–9 years in power/energy sectors is preferred.
• Experience with front-end design and mechanical systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop front end engineering design for Boiler, Steam Turbine, and BOP systems.
• Review mechanical equipment data, specs, and control philosophy from EPC contractors.
• Inspect EPC installations, testing, and commissioning methods for good practice.
• Perform operations, vibration, thermal and pressure tests on new equipment.
• Analyze diagrams and recommend revisions to prevent equipment failures.
• Monitor installation progress and ensure timely completion.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance and site tests.
• Develop operations and maintenance standard procedures.
• Willing to be assigned in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao as needed.
