Job summary

Aurecon is looking for an Intermediate to Senior Mechanical Engineer in Manila to lead mechanical and piping design for data centre backup power systems. You will design fuel storage, distribution, and transfer piping, build Revit models, and perform hydraulic calculations, coordinating with global teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in mechanical/piping engineering, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical or piping engineering.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency with modelling software (Revit).
• Proven experience in oil & gas, fuel systems, or industrial piping design.
• Experience with piping layout and detailed engineering design.
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles and constructability.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Strong client-facing communication skills and experience working in virtual environments.
• Experience with backup fuel systems in datacenters, hospitals, or mission-critical facilities.
• Knowledge of standards such as AS 1940, NFPA 30, API Standards, ASME B31 Series.

Responsibilities

• Design fuel storage, distribution, and transfer piping systems for backup power applications.
• Develop and maintain Revit models for mechanical and piping systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, including pipe sizing, pressure loss calculations, and pump sizing.
• Produce coordinated spatial layouts and resolve design clashes with other disciplines.
• Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and engineering calculations.
• Support compliance with relevant fuel storage and piping standards.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams throughout project delivery.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to project stakeholders.
