Job summary

NYGC Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manual QA with API and SQL experience to join our Alabang–Muntinlupa team. The role focuses on analyzing requirements, translating them into test cases, and ensuring quality across the Software Development Life Cycle.

You will perform system, integration and regression testing, create test plans, and report defects clearly. The position is hybrid with three onsite days weekly, working 11:00 AM to 08:00 PM PHT, and requires collaboration with Senior QA

Role : Senior Manual QA with API and SQL (Postman- Javascript )

Location : Alabang Muntinlupa

Work Type : Hybrid - 3 days onsite in a week

Job Description:

Ensures that business requirement specification are analyzed, understood properly, and able to translate into functional specifications and test cases.

Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify if programs are functioning according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines.

Ensures that the system is released conforming to the functions and requirements set and agreed by the customer and development, supported by the Test Summary Report and/or Acceptance Test Certificate.

Collaborates with Senior Quality Analyst in applying knowledge and experience to mostly routine situations, application of working or functional knowledge and capability in a particular process or method

KEY RESULTS AREAS / JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1. Quality Process Mastery
  • a. Understand and comply with the defined and agreed Software Development Life Cycle and CMMI standards of the organization.
  • b. Understands various approaches used in testing such as System, Integration and Regression.
  • c. Able to apply appropriate test design techniques in writing test cases.
  • d. Creates test plan and test effort estimation for small to medium sized projects.
  • e. Reviews test cases and test scripts written by Junior Manual Quality Analyst. Make recommendations as necessary.
  • f. Writes test cases and test scripts, creates test data and requirement traceability matrix.
  • g. Properly executes the given test cases / test scripts, identifies the correct behavior of the system under test, replicates and reports uncovered defects.
  • h. Performs the activities necessary to execute tests in accordance with the test plan and test design (including setting up tests and test data).
  • i. Tests and certifies software defect fixes and new functionality. Executes functional, application and regression tests for software releases.
  • j. Writes clear and precise defect reports as required for identified software defects and functional defects based on testing results.
  • k. Writes and submits Test Summary Report and/or Acceptance Test Certificate.
  • l. Collaborates with Senior Manual Quality Analyst in peer review of the RTM, test cases and test summary report and/or acceptance test certificate documents.
  • m. Reviews and analyzes test results and makes recommendations
  • n. Enforces quality procedures and guidelines across the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • o. Contributes to the continuous improvement of the QA procedures and guidelines.
  • p. Satisfy customer by providing clear testing specifications and quality product according to specified requirements.
  • q. Exhibits confidence in understanding the business concerns and provides sound business suggestions and recommendations accordingly.
• 2. Administrative Tasks
  • a. Records activities in ATLAS and reports/elevates issues to superior when needed.
  • b. Conducts needed validation to ensure compliance to the procedures in CMMI.
  • c. Prepares and submits needed reports.
  • d. Mentors and guides Junior Manual Quality Analyst.

  • a. Closely coordinates with other team members of the applications development and support.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

The candidate must have:

• obtained a Bachelor’s or College degree in either of the following - Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and/or related field.
• Should have at least 5 years working experience in Quality Assurance and/or testing;
• Intermediate knowledge in API and SQL
• Can do API automation using Postman/Newman - Javascript
• Must be proficient in writing test cases and test scripts;
• Must have an experience in creating a Master Test plan;
• Must have an in-depth understanding of Test Design Techniques, QA methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (both Waterfall and Agile / Scrum Development);
• With substantial knowledge of QA testing tools, different test design techniques, standards and processes;
• Exposure in business operations related to manufacturing, distribution and financial operations will be an advantage;
• Experience in various system development environment;
