Job summary

East West Banking Corporation (EastWest) in Taguig seeks a Risk Officer - Model Risk Management with a strong background in governance and analytics. The role focuses on enterprise-level model risk, inventory, validation alignment, and escalation in a robust second-line framework.

You will support governance processes, contribute to ERM and ICAAP reporting, and prepare management dashboards for senior leadership. Hybrid work arrangement in a major banking environment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in model risk management or related functions within a regulated financial institution.
• Knowledge of model lifecycle governance, materiality/tiering concepts, ICAAP and stress testing linkages.
• Strong analytical skills with governance-ready insights.
• Experience in second-line control environments and risk governance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain model inventory with documentation of purpose, ownership, lifecycle stage, and risk classification.
• Apply criteria for materiality, tiering, and risk classification per MRM framework.
• Perform consistency checks to ensure governance definitions are met.
• Consolidate model information including validation status and findings for enterprise risk views.
• Identify risk concentrations across ICAAP, ECL/IFRS 9, stress testing, pricing, and strategic processes.
• Track remediation status of validation findings and elevate high-risk issues.
• Prepare dashboards and working papers for Senior Management and Risk Management Committee.
