Job summary

EastWest Banking Corporation in Taguig is seeking a Senior Manager for Risk Officer - Model Risk Management. The role involves governance and analytics to inventory, monitor and report model risks, aligning with ERM, ICAAP, and senior management reporting.

You will support independent model validation activities as part of the second line of defense, ensuring outputs are defensible and audit-ready. Hybrid work arrangement provides flexibility within a regulated financial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related discipline; Master's degree is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain model inventory with clear documentation of purpose, ownership, lifecycle stage, and risk classification.
• Apply and update criteria for materiality, tiering, and risk classification in line with the Model Risk Management Framework.
• Perform consistency checks to ensure all models meeting governance definitions are properly captured and monitored.
• Consolidate model information including validation status, findings, and limitations into enterprise-level risk views.
• Identify risk concentrations and dependencies across ICAAP, ECL/IFRS 9, stress testing, pricing, and strategic processes.
• Track remediation status of validation findings, elevate high-risk issues, and support management visibility.
• Prepare dashboards and working papers for Senior Management and the Risk Management Committee
