Job summary

GCash, the leading FinTech in the Philippines, is seeking an IT governance and risk professional to strengthen regulatory compliance across the organization.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, interpret regulations, and manage audit responses to ensure proactive risk management and alignment with BSP and SEC standards. The role requires a bachelor’s in IT, strong regulatory knowledge, and infrastructure experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge in financial industry processes and regulatory standards.
• Experience in infrastructure (server, network, database) related fields.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Certification in COBIT, CGRC, CRISC, CGEIT.
• Experience with BSP Circulars, SEC regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs governance review checkpoints to ensure regulatory and internal standards compliance.
• Interprets regulations affecting control standards and suggests updates to policies and practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to update Policy, Procedure and Manuals.
• Liaise with Tech&Ops Units and business teams to provide audit responses.
• Central point of contact on audit, risk and compliance exercises.
• Reviews audit findings with Tech&Ops Units and provides recommendations.
• Track and monitor the resolution of findings and stay up to date with IT risk practices.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Performs governance review checkpoints to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
• Interprets regulations affecting control standards and suggest methods of updating
• policies and practices that addresses any risk concern so as to maintain IT and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regular updating of Policy, Procedure and Manuals and align them with regulatory standards.
• Liaise with different Tech&Ops Units and business teams, as necessary, to provide accurate and timely responses to internal and external audit requests related activities.
• Central point of contact on all audit, risk and compliance exercises.
• Reviews the audit findings together with the Tech&Ops Units and provides suggestions and recommendations to address the findings.
• Track and monitor the resolution of findings of the Tech&Ops Units.
• Stay up to date with emerging IT risk and industry best practices to ensure proactive risk management.
