Job summary

GCash is seeking an experienced governance and compliance professional to oversee regulatory and internal standards across IT and financial processes. You will interpret regulations, update policies, and collaborate with Tech & Ops teams to ensure timely responses to audits.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication, COBIT/CGRC/CRISC/CGEIT certifications, and experience with BSP Circulars and SEC requirements. Opportunity for growth and a dynamic, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or similar.
• In-depth knowledge in the financial industry processes and regulatory standards.
• Has experience in the infrastructure (i.e. server, network, database, etc) related fields.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Certification in any COBIT, CGRC, CRISC, CGEIT
• Experienced with BSP Circulars, SEC Regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Performs governance review checkpoints to ensure regulatory and internal standards compliance.

• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align Policies and Manuals with regulatory standards.
• Liaises with Tech & Ops units to respond to audit requests in a timely manner.
• Central point of contact on all audit, risk and compliance exercises.
• Reviews audit findings with Tech & Ops units and provides recommendations.
• Tracks resolution of audit findings with Tech & Ops units.
• Keeps up to date with emerging IT risk and industry best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Performs governance review checkpoints to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
• Interprets regulations affecting control standards and suggest methods of updating policies and practices that addresses any risk concern so as to maintain IT and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regular updating of Policy, Procedure and Manuals and align them with regulatory standards.
• Liaise with different Tech&Ops Units and business teams, as necessary, to provide accurate and timely responses to internal and external audit requests related activities.
• Central point of contact on all audit, risk and compliance exercises.
• Reviews the audit findings together with the Tech&Ops Units and provides suggestions and recommendations to address the findings.
• Track and monitor the resolution of findings of the Tech&Ops Units.
• Stay up to date with emerging IT risk and industry best practices to ensure proactive risk management.
