Job summary

GCash, the leading FinTech company in the Philippines, is seeking a Governance and Compliance professional to ensure regulatory and internal standards across IT and operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to update policies and respond to audits, acting as a central liaison for risk and compliance activities.

The ideal candidate has IT infrastructure knowledge, strong communication skills, and a track record of aligning policy with evolving regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or similar field.
• In-depth knowledge of financial industry processes and regulatory standards.
• Experience in infrastructure: servers, networks, databases, etc.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs governance review checkpoints to ensure regulatory and internal standards compliance.
• Interprets regulations affecting control standards and suggests policy updates to address risk.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to keep Policies and Manuals aligned with regulatory standards.
• Liaises with Tech&Ops units and business teams to respond to audit requests.
• Acts as central point of contact on audit, risk, and compliance exercises.
• Reviews audit findings with Tech&Ops units and tracks resolution of findings.
• Keeps up to date with IT risk and industry best practices to enhance proactive risk management.

Job Description

• Performs governance review checkpoints to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.


• Interprets regulations affecting control standards and suggest methods of updating policies and practices that addresses any risk concern so as to maintain IT and regulatory compliance.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regular updating of Policy, Procedure and Manuals and align them with regulatory standards.


• Liaise with different Tech&Ops Units and business teams, as necessary, to provide accurate and timely responses to internal and external audit requests related activities.


• Central point of contact on all audit, risk and compliance exercises.


• Reviews the audit findings together with the Tech&Ops Units and provides suggestions and recommendations to address the findings. Track and monitor the resolution of findings of the Tech&Ops Units.


• Stay up to date with emerging IT risk and industry best practices to ensure proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or similar.


• In-depth knowledge in the financial industry processes and regulatory standards.


• Has experience in the infrastructure (i.e. server, network, database, etc) related fields.


• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
