Qualifications

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in network security engineering, with at least 2 years in a managed services environment.
• Strong production experience with next-generation firewalls - Fortigate (FortiOS) required; experience with Palo Alto, Cisco, Check Point a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of security best practices, including trust domain segmentation, identity management, governance and threat prevention.
• Scaled SD-WAN deployment and operations experience with major vendors.
• Experience with centralised management and logging/analytics platforms (FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Panorama).
• Advanced IP routing and switching skills: BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of customer-deployed firewalls (Fortigate), including provisioning, policy tuning, and health monitoring.
• Design, deploy, optimise and troubleshoot SD-WAN solutions and document designs.
• Serve as the escalation point for managed services customers and conduct onboarding and post-incident reporting.
• Support product development by lab-testing and documenting new managed services offerings.
• Create and maintain templates, runbooks and SOPs; explore automation via vendor APIs and scripting.
