Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Linux Administrator to support and maintain our Linux infrastructure across enterprise environments including Red Hat and Ubuntu.

You will monitor systems, perform patching and troubleshooting, manage storage and backups, and ensure security and compliance. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams and experience with HPC, DevOps, and cloud platforms are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of Linux system administration experience.
• Experience managing enterprise Linux environments including RHEL and Ubuntu.
• Experience supporting virtualized environments such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Knowledge of NetApp storage, NFS, and Rubrik backup/recovery.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting and Linux CLI.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SSH, NTP).
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Linux servers (Red Hat and Ubuntu).
• Perform system monitoring, patching, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Support physical, virtual, and AWS-based Linux environments used for semiconductor design.
• Manage storage, backups, file systems, and core infra services (DNS, LDAP, email).
• Administer HPC clusters, job scheduling platforms, and engineering data management tools.
• Implement security best practices, hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
• Monitor infra health, respond to issues, and perform root-cause analyses.
• Develop scripts and automation to improve efficiency; support DevOps initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, network, security, cloud, and application teams.
