Job summary

CI&T Philippines is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java) to lead complex enterprise development, modernization, and production support. You will mentor engineers, drive technical excellence, and collaborate with global teams on scalable solutions.

Responsibilities include architecture involvement, design reviews, and delivering high-quality Java/J2EE applications while managing technical debt and ensuring reliable deployments.

Qualifications

• Strong Java/J2EE enterprise development experience.
• Experience with MySQL queries, optimization, and large databases.
• Experience with AWS services (S3, RDS, ECS).
• Proficient in REST/SOAP web services and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with ETL and SFTP data integration.
• Excellent English communication and mentoring abilities.
• Interest in Agentic AI and containerization technologies.
• Experience in automotive industry or DMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of complex features.
• Refactor and modernize legacy Java/J2EE apps while managing debt.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and coding standards.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and support onboarding.
• Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
• Provide technical estimates and planning input.
