Job summary

IQBackOffice is seeking a senior Java backend engineer to join a small, high-performing team building a state-of-the-art platform for financial transaction processing. You will contribute to server-side design and implement features using Java, PostgreSQL, and Linux, with Kotlin/Scala on the server when relevant.

Qualifications

• Masters or bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience or 7+ years with 3+ years in Java.
• Server-side expertise in modern Java on Linux.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, ideally PostgreSQL, with ability to build tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures using Java.
• Experience with IPC methods; gRPC a plus.
• Experience with parallel programming/concurrency.
• Familiarity with SCCS and Git.
• Commitment to quality, maintainability, and simple design.
• Proven experience working with stakeholders across business, development, QA, and documentation teams.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
