Job summary

yGen Innovations Inc. is seeking a senior Java backend engineer to design and optimize microservices and REST APIs for high-volume consumer experiences in a fast-paced environment.

You will implement event-driven integrations with Kafka, own end-to-end delivery, mentor teammates, and collaborate with Product/Architecture to scale distributed systems. Strong AWS, SQL, and heavy concurrency skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Java experience (Java 8/17) with Spring Boot and RESTful services.
• Strong multithreading, performance tuning, and profiling skills.
• Experience in high-load processing development.
• Experience designing APIs for speed and efficiency, with scalable and distributed architecture.
• Experience with Kafka (streams/consumer groups), CI/CD, and unit/integration testing.
• RDBMS experience (DB2/Oracle/PostgreSQL) and strong SQL expertise.
• AWS fundamentals for building and operating cloud services.
• BS in CS/IT or related field (minimum).
• Bonus: Hibernate/JPA, security best practices, and observability (logs/metrics/traces).
