Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Optum Philippines is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead end-to-end client initiatives. The role requires managing scopes, timelines, resources and cross-functional collaboration with clinical, administrative and IT teams.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in healthcare IT project management, experience with MS Project or ServiceNow, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive projects and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably in healthcare.
• Good experience with project management tools such as MS Project or ServiceNow.
• Proven people management experience.
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure/SDLC.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills; experience with onshore clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end projects (clinical and non-clinical) for client initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with healthcare regulations and organizational goals

• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies

• Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation plans

• Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to gather requirements and ensure smooth execution

• Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders, maintaining transparency throughout the project lifecycle

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for audits and compliance purposes

• Drive status update calls with client leadership and act as the primary point of contact

• Mentor team members and build project management capabilities within the team

• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably in healthcare

• Good experience of any of the project management tool e.g. MS Project, ServiceNow

• Proven people management experience

• Basic understanding of the IT infrastructure/SDLC

• Demonstrated solid team-oriented skills and ability to lead cross functional teams

• Demonstrated solid communication skills. Must have experience working with onshore clients

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and manage competing priorities effectively

• Demonstrated solid orientation toward customer service and teamwork

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP or equivalent certification

• Agile experience

• Familiarity with HIPAA or other compliance standards
