Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager in the Philippines to lead end-to-end projects within healthcare initiatives. You will define scope, develop plans, manage resources, and coordinate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure compliant, on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in IT project management, with MS Project or ServiceNow experience, and proven people leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT project management experience, preferably in healthcare.

• Understanding of IT infrastructure/SDLC.
• Strong communication with onshore clients and cross-functional teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end projects (clinical and non-clinical) for client initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with healthcare regulations and organizational goals
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
• Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation plans
• Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to gather requirements and ensure smooth execution
• Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders, maintaining transparency throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for audits and compliance purposes
• Drive status update calls with client leadership and act as the primary point of contact
• Mentor team members and build project management capabilities within the team
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably in healthcare
• Good experience of any of the project management tool e.g. MS Project, ServiceNow
• Proven people management experience
• Basic understanding of the IT infrastructure/SDLC
• Demonstrated solid team-oriented skills and ability to lead cross functional teams
• Demonstrated solid communication skills. Must have experience working with onshore clients
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and manage competing priorities effectively
• Demonstrated solid orientation toward customer service and teamwork

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP or equivalent certification
• Agile experience
• Familiarity with HIPAA or other compliance standards
