Job summary

Optum Philippines is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to drive end-to-end projects across clinical and non-clinical initiatives. You will define scope, build detailed plans, allocate resources, and manage risks to deliver regulatory-compliant outcomes.

The role requires strong cross-functional leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate with onshore clients. A healthcare background and familiarity with Agile methods are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, CS, IT, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive IT project management experience.
• 3+ years of IT project management experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience with MS Project or ServiceNow.
• Experience with Agile practices and methodologies.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure/SDLC.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills and client-facing experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Person will be responsible for managing end-to-end projects (clinical and non-clinical) running for the client's initiatives
• Will be responsible of defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with healthcare regulations and organizational goals
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation
• Identify risks and create mitigation strategies
• Will be responsible for collaborating with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to gather requirements
• Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders
• Maintain documentation for audits and compliance
• Facilitate meetings and ensure transparency in progress tracking
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information technology, or related field
• Licenses/Certifications
• 7+ years of progressive experience managing IT project and/or other process improvement teams and implementations
• 3+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably in healthcare
• Good experience of any of the project management tool e.g. MS Project, ServiceNow
• Experience in Agile practices across teams or organizations
• Solid understanding of Agile principles, frameworks, and best practices
• Basic understanding of the IT infrastructure/SDLC
• Proven solid team-oriented skills and ability to lead cross functional teams
• Proven solid communication skills. Must have prior experience working with onshore clients
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks
• Proven to be oriented to customer service and teamwork

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or equivalent certification
• Agile experience
• Familiarity with HIPAA or other compliance standards
