Job summary

RecruitNest Consulting is seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder V to join our client's healthcare team in the Philippines. You will assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for inpatient records and review documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines.

The role requires AHIMA or AAPC certification, 2+ years inpatient coding, EMR/EHR experience (Epic/Cerner/Meditech/3M Encoder), and the ability to maintain high quality while supporting audits and revenue integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
• At least 2 years inpatient coding experience.
• Active AHIMA/AAPC certification (CPC/CIC/CCS) required.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.
• Familiar with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech or 3M Encoder.
• Immediate start preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS diagnosis and procedures for inpatient records.
• Review records to ensure complete and accurate code assignment.
• Apply inpatient coding guidelines and E/M standards.
• Compare documentation, code assignments, and charges for accuracy.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate as needed.
• Abstract clinical information from patient records.
• Utilize EMR systems and coding tools effectively.
• Ensure compliance with AHIMA, AAPC standards.
• Maintain coding accuracy, productivity, and quality.
