Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking skilled Inpatient Medical Coders to join our Healthcare BPO team. You will review inpatient records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, validate DRG assignments, and ensure compliance with guidelines and payer requirements.

Qualifications include active Philippine Registered Nurse (PHRN) licensure and CIC/CCS certification, with experience in inpatient coding and DRG validation. Night shifts and weekend schedules may be required.

Qualifications

• Philippine Registered Nurse (PHRN) with active license.
• Active CIC or CCS certification preferred.
• Experience in inpatient medical coding and DRG validation.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and inpatient guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently.
• Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends and holidays, including night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient medical records and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes.
• Validate DRG/APR-DRG assignments based on documentation.
• Identify documentation gaps and potential reimbursement issues.
• Ensure coding accuracy, compliance, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, auditors, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and privacy regs.
• Meet quality, productivity, and turnaround-time targets.
• Stay updated on ICD-10-CM/PCS changes and coding guidelines.
