Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Senior Information Risk Specialist to join the Governance, Risk and Compliance team in MBPS. You will perform independent reviews of disaster recovery tests, document findings, and drive remediation with cross‑functional teams.

You will leverage risk-management tools (RCSA, incident management, loss tracking, root cause analysis) and analytics (Power BI) to strengthen controls, reporting, and DR readiness across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Information Risk Management with hands-on exposure to DR risks, controls and testing.
• Strong understanding of DR concepts, testing methodologies, and IT infrastructure recovery.
• Familiar with risk and operational tools such as RCSA, incident management, loss tracking, and root cause analysis.
• Proficient in MS Office; Power BI experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with analytical problem-solving and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent reviews of disaster recovery (DR) tests, validating evidence and identifying gaps or risks.
• Document findings, observations, and conclusions accurately in centralized tracking tools.
• Support intake, prioritization, and tracking of DR activities requiring CoE oversight.
• Monitor and follow through on remediation actions and corrective action plans with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with DR, IRM, and business teams to gather information and communicate expectations and findings.
• Contribute to reporting, metrics, and process improvements, ensuring alignment with CoE SOPs, SLAs, and governance standards.
