Job summary

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist based in Manila, onsite. You will coordinate inbound shipments, manage end-to-end logistics, and collaborate with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure timely deliveries for the Greater Asia region.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's in Logistics, minimum five years in logistics, and proficiency with SAP and Excel.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight management, import/export operations, or supply chain coordination.
• Strong understanding of international shipping processes, incoterms, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to manage multiple shipments, prioritize demands, and maintain accuracy and service.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as SAP, with data reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor inbound shipments from global suppliers and inter-affiliate locations to ensure timely delivery for manufacturing operations in the Greater Asia region.
• Manage end-to-end logistics activities including shipment tracking, planning, and delivery execution to achieve optimal service levels.
• Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve delivery issues and minimize disruptions.
• Oversee customs clearance and import documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and timely release of inbound shipments.
• Coordinate transportation from ports to warehouses or sites, ensuring seamless goods movement and inventory availability.
• Partner with Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations to align inbound logistics with production needs.
• Review freight invoices and logistics spend, identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency and performance.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance logistics SOPs and drive continuous improvement across the function.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

• Collaborate closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to proactively resolve delivery issues and minimize supply chain disruptions.
• Oversee customs clearance and import documentation processes to ensure regulatory compliance and the timely release of inbound shipments.
• Coordinate transportation from ports and terminals to warehouses or manufacturing sites, ensuring seamless movement of goods and inventory availability.
• Partner with Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations teams to align inbound logistics activities with business and production requirements.
• Review freight invoices, transportation costs, and logistics spend, while identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency and optimize supply chain performance.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance logistics SOPs, best practices, and operational processes, while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the logistics function.
• Monitor logistics service provider performance through key operational metrics, maintain accurate shipment records in SAP and other logistics systems, and escalation critical issues when necessary.

What Makes You The Right Fit

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight management, import/export operations, or supply chain coordination within a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong understanding of international shipping processes, transportation modes (air, ocean, and land), customs clearance procedures, and Incoterms.
• Proven ability to manage multiple shipments, prioritize competing demands, and resolve operational issues while maintaining a high level of accuracy and service.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify process efficiencies and drive operational excellence.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working collaboratively across cross-functional teams, suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics service providers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as SAP, with the ability to maintain accurate logistics data, generate reports, and support data-driven decision-making.
