Job summary

IIX Global seeks a senior in-house counsel to own legal risk end-to-end across Singapore HQ, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Kenya, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam, among other markets. You’ll manage contracts, regulatory compliance, disputes and external counsel with a pragmatic, deal-driven mindset.

Ideal candidate has 8+ years’ PQE, strong drafting/negotiation skills, fluency in English, and experience with multi-jurisdictional corporate and finance documentation.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 8+ years post-qualification experience.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills across commercial contracts, employment law and finance documentation.
• Experience across multiple jurisdictions and exposure to cross-border expansion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial, partnership and collaboration agreements, NDAs, MOUs, service contracts and donor/funding agreements.
• Lead legal documentation for capital markets activities, including fund, bond and note documentation, loan and credit agreements, security documents and term sheets.
• Negotiate with counterparties and maintain templates and positions.
• Provide regulatory risk assessments, maintain AML/KYC, data protection and other policies, and monitor compliance across jurisdictions.
