Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical/Grid Engineer to provide expert input on hydropower generation interconnection and transmission systems. The role focuses on integrating hydropower generation into the electricity grid.

The successful candidate will assess interconnection requirements, develop concepts, and coordinate with utilities and grid operators to support feasibility studies and project development decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with generation interconnection and transmission.
• Hydropower interconnection experience desirable.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical, engineering, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess grid interconnection requirements for hydropower projects.
• Develop and review generation interconnection concepts.
• Assess transmission requirements and connection configurations.
• Coordinate with utilities, grid operators, and relevant authorities.
• Support electrical system studies and grid connection assessments.
• Evaluate transmission routes, substations, and associated infrastructure requirements.
• Review electrical design concepts and technical specifications.
• Identify grid-related constraints and technical risks.
• Provide electrical inputs to feasibility studies and project development decisions.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and engineering documentation.
