Job summary

Teradyne in the Philippines seeks a Senior PCB Design Engineer to lead complex PCB design efforts from concept to manufacturing release. You will create schematics, footprints, and routing strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, deliverable designs.

The role demands hands-on Cadence Allegro and OrCAD Capture experience, Gerber/ODB++ verification, and a strong background in high-speed layout, impedance control, and signal integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of PCB layout and automated test systems experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, and Cadence PCB design tools.
• Hands-on Cadence Allegro tools: Allegro PCB Editor, OrCAD Capture.
• Experience with Gerber and ODB++ verification tools (ViewMate, Valor).
• Strong high-speed PCB design experience: impedance control, differential pairs, length matching, timing constraints, stack-up.

Responsibilities

• Create schematics based on customer-defined and system-level specs.
• Develop component symbols and PCB footprints.
• Set up electrical, physical, and DFM design rules.
• Perform routing assessments and feasibility studies.
• Define assembly specifications and documentation.
• Create assembly and test packages for manufacturing.
• Manage PCB design data with Teamcenter (PART numbers, BOMs, ECNs).
• Collaborate with SI/PI, DFT/DFM teams to resolve issues.
• Attend product development and kickoff meetings for launches.
• Occasional travel for training, off-site meetings, or validation.
