Job summary

Surbana Jurong seeks a Health and Safety Manager Engineer to lead HSE for a hydropower and dam construction project. You will ensure compliance with legal, contractual and international HSE standards while promoting a strong safety culture and minimizing risks to people and the environment.

Responsibilities include developing the Project HSE Management Plan, conducting risk assessments, leading audits and incident investigations, coordinating with the client and regulators, and delivering HSE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Management is advantageous.
• International HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, IOSH) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Project HSE Management Plan.
• Lead HSE training and inductions for site personnel.
• Oversee HSE inspections, audits and near-miss/incident investigations.
• Interface with client, engineers and regulators on HSE matters.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and maintain HSE reporting systems.
