Job summary

The Corporate Institute is seeking a seasoned Chief Manager / Assistant Vice President for Group Pricing based in Mumbai. The role oversees pricing governance, underwriting support, reinsurance management, product development, and portfolio profitability for the Group Insurance portfolio.

You will collaborate with Sales, Operations, Product, Actuarial, and Reinsurance teams to deliver competitive pricing, ensure risk compliance, and drive responsible growth.

Qualifications

• MBA/Postgraduate degree from a reputed institution.
• Actuarial qualification preferred; candidates who have cleared actuarial papers (IAI/IFoA) will be given preference.
• 10+ years of experience in Group Insurance, Pricing, Underwriting, Actuarial, or related functions.
• Experience in Group Life, Group Credit Life, and Group Affinity products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pricing & Quotation Management: Review and approve quotations within authority limits.
• Risk Assessment & Underwriting Support: Evaluate risks and ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Reinsurance Management: Manage reinsurance structures and coordinate with reinsurers.
• Team & Process Management: Lead pricing team and improve processes and governance.
• Business Development Support: Act as SME for Group Insurance products and support sales.
• Product Development & Portfolio Management: Support development of Group Insurance products and profitability.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Product, Finance, Actuarial, Legal, Compliance, and Reinsurance teams.
