Job summary

Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, is seeking a senior compute architect to design and lead scalable GPU HPC and cloud compute platforms. You will drive performance, density, and efficiency across hardware and software boundaries, collaborating with product and engineering teams.

The role requires deep expertise in CPU/GPU architectures, high-bandwidth interconnects, and performance tuning. A hands-on leader with the ability to influence across teams and support hybrid work arrangements is

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and scaling GPU HPC or cloud compute platforms.
• Strong knowledge of CPU/GPU architectures and memory hierarchies.
• Experience with high-bandwidth fabrics (NVLink, InfiniBand, RoCE).
• Track record of performance tuning, resource scheduling, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable compute platforms optimized for AI/ML workloads.
• Define compute platform standards, patterns, and design for density and efficiency.
• Evaluate CPU/GPU/accelerator tech and guide cost/power tradeoffs.
• Collaborate with product and eng to map workloads to platform capabilities.
• Translate ambiguous needs into measurable platform requirements and specs.
• Define roadmaps and reference designs for hardware selection and rack layouts.
• Lead platform introductions, guiding validation and performance characterization.
• Mentor engineers on compute performance and architectural decisions.
