Job summary

Emandarin Ventures, Inc. is seeking a Senior GL Accountant to oversee the General Ledger and lead month-end close in a fast-paced environment in Taguig, Philippines. You will prepare journals, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate financial statements.

The role requires at least five years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of GL processes, and familiarity with BIR compliance. CPA is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in general accounting, financial reporting, audit, or finance and accounting operations.
• Strong hands-on experience in General Ledger (GL) accounting and month-end closing.
• Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, accounting schedules, and financial statements.
• BIR compliance, tax documentation, and statutory accounting requirements knowledge.
• Experience in bank reconciliation and reconciling accounting records with supporting data.
• Experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting.
• Experience preparing audit schedules and coordinating with external auditors.
• Experience in financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Experience in banking, payments, fintech, financial services, or similarly regulated environment is an advantage.
• CPA is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee the accuracy and completeness of the General Ledger.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and account classifications.
• Perform daily and monthly GL account analysis and reconciliation.
• Maintain accounting schedules and supporting documentation for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing process and ensure timely completion of closing activities.
• Prepare trial balance and financial statements and ensure accounts are properly supported.
• Review AR, AP, bank, payment, and other sub-ledger balances and ensure proper posting to the GL.
• Investigate unusual balances, variances, and unreconciled items and coordinate corrective action.
• Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Education
