Job summary

Citco Bank in Makati seeks a detail-oriented GL Accountant to join our Compliance-driven finance team. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support month-end close in a global financial services environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting, CPA/CFA preferred, 2–4 years of GL experience, and proficiency with Oracle Fusion and Excel. Strong analytical skills and timely delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA/CFA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 2-4 years of relevant GL accounting experience.
• Experience in a global financial services organization advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Perform monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes within deadlines
• Investigate and resolve GL discrepancies and variances
• Maintain fixed asset registers and intercompany reconciliations
• Assist with preparation of financial reports and management accounts
• Support internal and external audit requests with documentation
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and regulatory standards
• Identify and recommend process improvements for GL efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e. AP, AR, Tax) to resolve discrepancies
• Perform other related tasks during month-end, year-end close, and audit periods.

As a core member of our Compliance team you will work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to minimize operational risks and ensure our clients experience seamless delivery acrossbanking services.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (CPA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred
• 2-4 years of relevant GL accounting experience
• Experience in a global financial services organization advantageous

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reconciliation templates)
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools/dashboards
