Job summary

The Citco Group Limited in Makati is seeking a Financial Reporting lead to manage preparation and coordination of financial statements under US GAAP and IFRS. You will oversee client and auditor relationships, ensure accurate disclosures, and coordinate with global teams for regulatory submissions.

Ideal candidate has 4+ years of external audit or financial reporting experience, with strong Excel skills. A hybrid work arrangement is available across Makati/Alabang/Clark offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field required.
• 4+ years of external audit experience, preferably in asset management or financial reporting in financial institutions.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience with client coordination.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting for asset management.
• CPA and non-CPAs welcome to apply.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Willingness to work in Makati/Alabang/Clark offices and in a hybrid setup with 2–3 onsite days.
• Ability to handle shifting schedules (AM or mid-shift).

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of annual, semi-annual and quarterly financial statements per GAAP/IFRS.
• Coordinate engagements including planning, budgeting, client coordination and timelines.
• Ensure accurate footnote disclosures and legal document reviews for funds.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external auditors; manage year-end processes.
• Prepare regulatory reports and compile regulatory data with global teams.
• Identify issues, investigate and propose solutions to team members.
• Prepare engagement and ad hoc client reports and participate in meetings/training.
• Identify opportunities for new clients and service enhancements; assist in RFPs.

Job Purpose

Manage the preparation and coordination of financial statement and regulatory reporting in compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and applicable regulatory requirements. Effectively manage client and auditor relationships throughout engagements.

Main Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of annual, semi-annual and quarterly financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS, as required.
• Coordinate assigned engagements including planning, budgeting, client coordination, work allocation, and monitoring of timelines and out-of-scope time.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of footnote disclosures in accordance with accounting, reporting, and regulatory standards. Review legal documents governing the fund to ensure appropriate financial statement disclosure structure.
• Lead coordination with internal teams, clients and external auditors. Coordinate year-end financial statement process, and contribute to identifying, researching and communicating relevant accounting, reporting and regulatory updates to the team.
• Lead the preparation and review of regulatory reports in compliance with applicable requirements, including compilation of key regulatory data and coordination with local and global teams to ensure timely and accurate regulatory submissions.
• Identify errors or problems, independently investigate, and recommend solutions to team members or managers.
• Prepare various engagement reports and ad hoc client reports as needed. Attend meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and share relevant updates with team members.
• Recognize and communicate potential opportunities for new clients, as well as value-added service enhancements for existing clients and management. Assist the manager in preparing requests for proposals for prospective clients.
• Provide guidance to team members to motivate and help strengthen specific knowledge areas needed to accomplish team goals.

Education, Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field.
• At least 4 years of external audit experience, preferably in the asset management industry, or relevant financial reporting experience within a financial institution.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience, including team and client coordination responsibilities.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, asset management, hedge funds, and financial reporting, preferably gained supervisory or reviewer capacity.
• Previous financial statement review and/or preparation experience is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and non-CPAs are welcome to apply.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Amenable to work in our Makati (OneAyala Corporate) or Alabang (Northgate Cyber Zone) or Clark office.
• Amenable to work in a hybrid setup, with 2 to 3 days onsite per week.li>
