OceanaGold (Philippines) Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer – Geotechnical to lead geotechnical initiatives for underground operations.

You will integrate geotechnical considerations into mine planning, development, stopping, and operations, while driving continuous improvement in systems and risk management. The role reports to the Superintendent – Geotechnical and offers a pathway toward future technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of underground geotechnical engineering experience in hard rock underground mining, preferably mechanized environments.
• Strong knowledge of rock mechanics, ground control, and geotechnical risk management.
• Experience with geotechnical monitoring systems, instrumentation, and numerical modelling.

Responsabilités

• Provide geotechnical leadership to underground operations and technical services teams.
• Develop and maintain geotechnical management plans and standards.
• Monitor ground conditions, seismicity, and excavation performance to manage risks.
• Mentor and develop geotechnical professionals while promoting safety and high performance.
