Job summary

OceanaGold Philippines’ Didipio mine invites a Senior Geologist–Exploration to lead discovery and growth of mineral resources. You will plan and execute exploration programs across OGC tenements while managing drilling and data analysis to optimize results. The role requires a B.S.

in Geology and 10 years in mineral exploration, with hands-on Au-Cu porphyry and Au-Ag epithermal deposit experience. Proficiency in ArcGIS, Micromine and Leapfrog is essential; a PRC Geologist license and a valid

Qualifications

• 10 years of mineral exploration experience.
• Amenable to a 2-year fixed-term contract.
• Experience with Au-Cu porphyry and Au-Ag epithermal deposits.
• Understanding of current ore deposit models.
• Experience planning and managing drilling, geophysical and geochemical programs.
• Geological mapping and geochemical sampling methodology and reporting.
• Geological interpretation, data management and target generation.
• Proficient in ArcGIS, Micromine and Leapfrog.
• Registered Geologist (PRC) and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geological, geochemical and geophysical assessments and surveys.
• Collect and analyze data to generate exploration targets.
• Evaluate targets and maintain an up-to-date exploration pipeline.
• Develop and implement drilling plans to maximize exploration efficiency.
• Utilize GIS and databases to capture and monitor exploration information.
• Coordinate with government agencies and local stakeholders.

Job Description

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper.Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support themine.

OceanaGold is seeking asuitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Senior Geologist—Exploration:

To discover,delineateand grow mineralresources.

To implement exploration work programs within the various OGC tenements in asafe and sustainable manner

Toidentifyand generate exploration opportunities for potential business transactions.

This role reports to the Manager—Exploration (Philippines).

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Conductgeological,geochemical, and geophysicalassessments,studiesand surveys.
• Collect and analyzegeological, geochemical, and geophysical data togenerateexploration targets.
• Evaluate and rankexploration targets andmaintainup to date the exploration pipeline.
• Develop and implement drilling plans that maximizeexploration effectiveness andoperational efficiency.
• Utilizeand analyzethe exploration database and GIS software to capture andmonitorexploration data and information.
• Liaise with governmentagencyand local stakeholders/community
• Ensures direct reports are properlytrainedand systems are in place to ensuresafety.
• Activelyparticipatesand promotes company safety, health and environmental programs andactivities.

B.S. Geologygraduate

Work Experience andBackground:

• Ten ( 10 )years’ experience in Mineral Exploration.
• Amenable to 2 ‑year fixed termcontract
• Relevant experience and understanding of Au-Cu porphyry and Au-Ag epithermaldeposits.
• Understanding of current ore depositmodels.
• Experience in planning, implementing, and managing drilling, geophysical, geochemical and reconnaissance exploration programs.
• Experienceingeological mapping and geochemical samplingmethodology, including analysis of data,interpretationand reporting ofresults.
• Proficient in geological interpretation, geological and geotechnical core logging, datamanagementand target/projectgeneration
• Proficient in ArcGIS and MiningSoftwares(Micromine, Leapfrog)
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills
• Registered Geologist (PRC)
• Professional Driver’sLicense

Skills/Training/Experienced Required:

• Field mapping, sampling,and corelogging.
• Proficient in M.S. Office and MicrosoftProject
• Must be physicallyfit and able to work in remoteconditions
• Professional Driver license holder, with experienced in 4 WD
