Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy required
• CPA preferred but not required
• Minimum 5 years progressive accounting experience; 2-3 years supervisory

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of the General Accounting team.
• Review accounting entries for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded in the accounting system.
• Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger.
• Monitor compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure timely submission of financial reports to Management.
• Analyze financial data and explain significant account variances.
• Supervise month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure timely completion of account reconciliations.
• Review adjusting and closing entries.
• Coordinate with other departments to complete closing requirements.
• Review reconciliations for bank accounts, intercompany accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure supporting documentation is complete and properly maintained.
• Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with auditors.
• Address audit inquiries and implement audit recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and suggest improvements.
• Lead supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations of staff.
• Support budgeting and ERP implementation.
