Job summary

ESOL IT SERVICES INC. is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer (Node.js) to join a distributed engineering team, focusing on scalable cloud-native solutions. The role covers front-end and back-end development with Node.js, React, and Next.js, REST APIs, and microservices.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Business, and QA teams, contribute to architecture, and advance engineering best practices. Remote work from Manila-based setups is supported for a 12+ month contract.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Node.js, React, Next.js experience.
• Experience building enterprise-scale web applications.
• Fluent in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiar with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Git and Agile/Scrum.
• Knowledge of AI-powered development tools is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack apps from concept to production.
• Build scalable web apps using Node.js, React, and Next.js.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and third-party integrations.
• Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases.
• Ensure scalability, performance, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Contribute to architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with QA on automated testing.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling to boost productivity.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and improve existing applications.
