Job summary

Thales Group is seeking a Sr. Lead Engineer – Frontend Platform in India to own and scale our enterprise frontend ecosystem. You will drive platform delivery, reusable components, and a strong design-system approach across product teams.

You will report to the Engineering Manager and lead day-to-day technical execution, ensuring alignment with the platform roadmap and engineering standards. Strong frontend leadership and security focus are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with enterprise frontend leadership.
• Expert-level React, JavaScript, and strong TypeScript.
• Experience in building scalable microfrontends and design systems.
• Knowledge of multi-tenant SaaS architectures, security, and reliability.
• Strong testing practices with modern tooling and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of complex features, shared components, and platform tooling.
• Translate architectural designs into actionable tasks and plan sprint work.
• Guide platform ownership of components, Storybook, and tooling.
• Collaborate with UI, Product, Backend, QA, UX, and DevOps teams.
• Improve CI/CD, deployment reliability, and developer productivity.
• Drive test automation and ensure code quality across the team.
• Mentor mid-level and junior developers and uphold TS/React standards.
• Apply AI-assisted development to improve speed and quality.
