Job summary

Thumbtack is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, CCO to partner with leaders across the finance organization and drive forecasting, budgeting, and strategic cost management in a fast-growing environment.

You will build financial models, provide insightful analysis, and influence decision-making with clear data visualizations and stakeholder collaboration. This role requires a deep understanding of US GAAP or IFRS and alignment to PST hours in a remote-first setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant financial analysis work experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or management consulting.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, using Excel and G-Suite.
• Adopts a constant improvement mindset and applies towards making processes & procedures more efficient.
• Strong understanding of/ exposure to US GAAP or IFRS.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Proven ability to collaborate cross functionally
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across the organization
• Amenable to working a graveyard shift aligned with PST hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST)

Responsibilities

• Drive the monthly, annual forecasts and budgets for all opex spend, highlighting variance analysis.
• Forecast accurately, aligning on assumptions with stakeholders and understanding spend.
• Evaluate trade offs and financial sensitivities for better decision making.
• Provide front line support for ad hoc financial analysis requests and insights.
• Develop efficiency metrics to inform growth and set financial context.
• Establish and maintain trusting relationships with key stakeholders.
• Reconcile headcount for the organization.
• Partner with business units to understand needs and develop cost-management solutions.
• Support Sales to ensure accuracy and alignment of commissions.
