Job summary

Thumbtack seeks a Senior Financial Analyst, CCO, to partner with leaders and help manage and grow the business as it expands. You will provide thought partnership and decision support for new initiatives reporting to the FP&A Manager.

You will drive forecasts and budgets for opex, perform variance analyses, model scenarios, and present data insights to stakeholders. Strong finance, GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant financial analysis work experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or management consulting.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, using Excel and G-Suite.
• Adopts a constant improvement mindset and applies towards making processes & procedures more efficient.
• Strong understanding of/ exposure to US GAAP or IFRS.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross functionally.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
• Amenable to working a graveyard shift aligned with PST hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST).

Responsibilities

• Drive the monthly, annual forecasts and budgets for all opex spend, highlighting insightful variance analysis and implications to forecast.
• Forecast accurately, aligning on assumptions with stakeholders and understanding spend drivers.
• Evaluate trade offs and financial sensitivities for better decision making and scenario planning.
• Provide front line support for ad hoc financial analysis requests and inquiries, presenting and visualizing data and insights.
• Develop efficiency metrics to help inform growth and set financial context.
• Establish and maintain trusting relationships with all key stakeholders.
• Reconcile headcount for the organization.
• Partner with business units to understand needs and develop strategic cost management solutions.
• Support Sales to ensure accuracy and alignment of commissions.
