The Qualifications We Seek
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or other relevant certification preferred
- At least 6 years of FP&A experience, with strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Query, and Power BI for financial modeling, analysis, reporting, and data visualization
- Hands-on experience with FP&A platforms such as Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Cognos, or similar tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify financial trends and translate data into actionable business insights
- Solid understanding of financial principles, accounting concepts, and financial modeling techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information
Your Daily Tasks
Financial Modeling
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities, incorporating key drivers, assumptions, and scenarios to evaluate financial performance and outcomes.
- Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to assess the impact of various factors and variables on financial projections and business outcomes.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans, collaborating with business units and departments to gather input, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Analyze variances between actual results and budget or forecast targets, identify key drivers, and provide insights and recommendations to management for corrective action and performance improvement.
Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Conduct financial analyses, including trend analysis, variance analysis, and profitability analysis, to provide insights into business performance, trends, and opportunities.
- Prepare and distribute financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to management and stakeholders, leveraging Power BI, Power Query, Excel, and FP&A tools where applicable to highlight key performance metrics, trends, and variances.
Strategic Planning Support
- Support strategic planning initiatives, including market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and business case development, to evaluate growth opportunities, investment priorities, and strategic alternatives.
- Provide financial analyses and insights to support decision-making on strategic initiatives, capital investments, and resource allocation decisions.
Process Improvement and Optimization
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation across financial planning and analysis workflows, and recommend and implement solutions to streamline processes, reduce errors, and enhance efficiency.
- Participate in system enhancements and upgrades related to financial planning and analysis tools and software, including Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Power BI, Power Query, or similar platforms, providing user feedback, testing support, and training to ensure successful implementation and adoption.
