EMAPTA is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst & Developer to strengthen financial services operations through smarter systems, streamlined workflows, and reliable development. You will work on CRM digitization, Xplan enhancements, and analytics to support advisers and business growth.

The role requires 3+ years in a systems analysis/development capacity, proficiency in Python and VBA, and familiarity with IT tools, CRM systems, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Three years plus experience in systems analysis and development.
• Hands-on Python and VBA coding experience.
• Knowledge of IT applications, project management tools, and documentation tools.

Qualifications

Education and Industry Knowledge

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or Computer Science, with expertise in data or coding
• Current knowledge of the financial services industry and its operations

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a systems analysis and development role
• Hands-on experience in Python and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) coding, development, or help desk support, including other relevant software applications
• Working knowledge of IT applications, including project management tools, coding applications, and documentation tools

Responsibilities

General

• Support the training and development of team members and assist with technical queries.
• Provide the Team Leader with timely, considered, and relevant feedback.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with company staff and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Lead technical development initiatives when required.
• Contribute to technical decisions and design.
• Develop and take ownership of complex features and modules.
• Lead and participate in project management activities, completing allocated projects and coordinating phases of large or complex projects with the Team Leader and multiple teams.

Development - Non-Xplan

• Design, build, and maintain the company's internal data architecture and storage solutions.
• Code, maintain, and improve databases.
• Develop code to support business development requirements.
• Document company processes and digitize them within the CRM.
• Develop solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Enhance CRM interfaces and usability.
• Analyze data and develop reports using Power BI.
• Write code using Python, VBA, or equivalent programming languages.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT).

Development - Xplan

• Develop and enhance Xplan systems and processes for existing and new initiatives.
• Streamline the financial advice process within Xplan.
• Enhance and customise templates to meet business requirements.
• Build Xplan reports to support reporting needs.
• Configure Xplan sites to meet operational requirements.
• Code and maintain Xplan Xmerge templates.
• Develop email templates using HTML and CSS.
• Create and refine Xplan wizards and interfaces.
• Test templates and configurations to ensure accuracy and functionality.
