Job summary

Interpath is seeking an Associate Director – Transaction Services, Financial Services in Gurugram. This senior Financial Services specialist role focuses on financial due diligence across buy-side and sell-side transactions, working with Interpath's global deal teams.

You will provide specialist FS expertise across banking, insurance, asset/wealth management, and payments/FinTech, contributing to team capability and business development.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience.
• 10–15 years total experience; at least 7 years in financial due diligence, with focus on Financial Services.
• Experience in two Financial Services areas (banking, insurance, asset/wealth, payments/FinTech).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 9 and IFRS 17; understanding prudential regulation impact on transactions.
• Proven people-management experience and ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior Financial Services specialist on transactions under the direction of the engagement leader.
• Own analysis of a target's earnings, balance sheet, capital and funding position.
• Apply Financial Services sector knowledge across relevant business models.
• Collaborate with actuarial, regulatory and capital specialists to form a coherent financial view.
• Interpret findings for pricing, deal structure, capital, solvency and SPAs.
• Identify regulatory approvals and change-of-control requirements affecting timelines.
• Review team work for accuracy and quality.
• Line manage Managers and below; set objectives and development.
• Build Financial Services capability through training and coaching.
• Contribute to business development: scoping, fee estimation, credentials and proposals.
• Manage engagement risks including independence, conflicts, and documentation.
