Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Manila to partner with global stakeholders. You will deliver timely financial reports, build models, and drive planning, forecasting, and process improvements across a fast-paced financial services environment.

The role requires 4+ years in FP&A, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and a CPA is a plus. Hybrid work arrangement is offered with exposure to senior leaders and cross‑functional projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, accounting, or related finance role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage global stakeholders.

• Analyze large volumes of financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you'll partner with global stakeholders to provide meaningful analysis, forecasting, reporting, and planning support for one of Manulife's strategic growth businesses. This role offers the opportunity to work with senior leaders, gain exposure to complex financial operations, drive process improvements, and build valuable expertise within a global financial services organization.

Position Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, dashboards, presentations, and management reporting packages.
• Analyze large volumes of financial and operational data to identify trends, key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and annual planning activities by collaborating with stakeholders and developing financial models and projections.
• Assist with expense management initiatives, organizational reporting, and tracking of business performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement through process automation, reporting enhancements, and cross-functional collaboration while supporting team training and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, accounting, or a related finance role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage global stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation or progress toward a professional accounting qualification.
• Experience within Wealth and Asset Management, investment management, insurance, or financial services industries.
• Experience with financial planning and reporting tools such as Power BI, Anaplan, SmartView-Essbase, or Lawson.
• Proven track record in process automation, reporting enhancements, or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple competing priorities and stakeholder requests.
