The Senior Field Officer is responsible for driving product movement, reducing field inventory, and supporting the growth of FMC's business within assigned key territories. The role serves as the critical link between FMC's commercial strategy and field execution by ensuring consistent, efficient, and professional implementation of sales and marketing activities.
The incumbent conducts product demonstrations, retailer engagement activities, customer visits, and field meetings while providing technical expertise on FMC products and crop solutions. Working closely with Business Managers, Area Sales Managers, distributors, retailers, and farmers, the Senior Field Officer supports demand generation, strengthens customer relationships, and drives product adoption to achieve sales and inventory objectives.

Drive product movement and support achievement of sales targets within the assigned territory.
Actively reduce inventory levels across distributors, dealers, and retailers through effective demand‑generation activities.
Execute field marketing programs and promotional campaigns to increase product awareness and adoption.
Identify sales opportunities and provide market feedback to the Business Manager and Area Sales Manager.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing, market trends, and customer needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, retailers, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
Conduct regular retailer visits to enhance product visibility and availability.
Organize and facilitate farmer meetings, retailer meetings, field days, and customer engagement events.
Ensure excellent customer service and timely resolution of customer concerns and inquiries.
Promote FMC products and technologies in accordance with approved recommendations and stewardship guidelines.
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of FMC products, crop protection solutions, and relevant crops.
Conduct product demonstrations, field trials, and technical presentations to customers and retailers.
Provide technical recommendations and product application guidance to end‑users.
Support training programs for retailers, distributors, and farmers on product benefits and best practices.
Collect and report field performance data and customer feedback.
Develop and execute territory activity plans to support business objectives.
Maintain accurate customer and retailer records and activity reports.
Track sales movement, inventory levels, and market developments within the territory.
Submit accurate and timely reports on field activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence.
Support sales forecasting and demand planning activities.
Ensure compliance with FMC policies, business ethics, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Promote safe and responsible product use among customers and stakeholders.
Maintain FMC's reputation by demonstrating professionalism and integrity in all business interactions.
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in agricultural sales, field marketing, agronomy, or technical support.
Experience working with distributors, dealers, retailers, and farmers.
Experience conducting field demonstrations, farmer meetings, and technical presentations.
Crop protection or agricultural input industry experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of crop protection products, agronomic practices, and crop management.
Understanding of sales processes, distribution channels, and inventory management.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to influence customers and build long‑term business relationships.
Good organizational and planning skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
