Job summary

A&S Landscape is seeking a Senior External CAD Designer to deliver detailed 3D CAD designs and structural drafting for live projects. You will create GA and fabrication drawings, BOMs, and high‑quality CGI renders for client presentations and proposals.

The role requires UK industry experience, SolidWorks proficiency and a strong understanding of structural design principles. Onsite work in Angeles City, Pampanga with UK-aligned hours is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years UK industry experience in a 3D CAD/structural design environment.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks or an equivalent 3D CAD platform.
• Proven ability to produce GA drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, 3D models and BOMs.
• Strong CGI and 3D visualisation skills with tools such as SolidWorks Visualize, KeyShot, 3ds Max or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to create photorealistic renders for client presentations and design proposals.
• Understanding of structural design principles, load paths, steel member selection, foundations and behavior.
• Experience with simulation/FEA software and interpreting results.
• Experience designing canopies, architectural steelwork, modular structures or space frames.
• Strong manufacturing awareness to keep designs buildable.
• Excellent drafting standards, revision control and drawing accuracy.
• Detail orientation and ability to resolve design issues before manufacture.
• Ability to incorporate client and internal feedback accurately and efficiently.
• Strong communication and collaboration when working with engineering, manufacturing and project teams.

Are you an experienced 3D CAD Designer who can bring together advanced SolidWorks expertise, structural design knowledge, and high-quality CGI visualization?

As a Senior External CAD Designer, you'll play a key role in delivering detailed 3D CAD designs, structural drafting, preliminary engineering analysis, and photorealistic visualisations for A&S Landscape's live projects and R&D activities. This role is ideal for a high-calibre designer who can take designs beyond traditional drafting and produce practical, manufacturing-ready solutions.

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of UK industry experience in a similar 3D CAD/structural design environment.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks or an equivalent 3D CAD platform.
• Proven ability to produce GA drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, detailed 3D models, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Strong CGI and 3D visualisation skills, with experience using tools such as SolidWorks Visualize, KeyShot, 3ds Max, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to create photorealistic renders for client presentations and design proposals.
• Practical understanding of structural design principles, including load paths, steel member selection, foundations, and structural behaviour.
• Experience with simulation or FEA software and the ability to interpret results appropriately.
• Experience designing comparable structures such as canopies, architectural steelwork, modular structures, or space frames.
• Strong manufacturing awareness, with the ability to develop designs that are practical, buildable, and suitable for fabrication.
• Excellent understanding of engineering and drafting standards, including revision control and drawing accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve design issues before manufacture.
• Ability to incorporate client, engineering, and internal design feedback accurately and efficiently.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams.
• Chartered Engineer status is not required.
• Portfolio should clearly demonstrate previous employers, projects, structural designs, and the candidate's individual contribution.
