Job summary

Magna Electronics in the Philippines seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to contribute to automotive test frameworks and digital validation. You will work with C++, CAPL-like scripting, and SiL environments to advance safe and reliable electronic systems.

The role involves CANoe/CANalyzer work, AUTOSAR awareness, and integration of ISO 26262 standards. You will join Magna's global electronics team, focusing on safety-critical tests, software-in-the-loop automation, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Strong coding in C++ and hands-on with test automation tools.
• Experience with Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) environments and virtual validation.
• Knowledge of Python and CAPL is beneficial.
• Hands-on with CANoe/CANalyzer and automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet).
• Embedded interfaces like UART, SPI, I2C, and test/measurement interfaces.
• Familiar with SIL/HIL automation and AUTOSAR/ISO 26262 or cybersecurity standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Technical Knowledge

• Strong coding: C++
• Hands-on experience developing test automation tools and frameworks.
• Experience with Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) environments and virtual validation.
• Knowledge of Python and CAPL good to have
• Hands-on with CANoe/CANalyzer
• Familiar with communication protocols:
• Automotive like CAN, Auto Ethernet, etc.
• Embedded interfaces like UART, SPI, I2C, etc.
• Measurement and automation device interfaces like RS232, USB, TCP, etc.
• PC interfaces like (e)SATA, USBx, PCIe, etc.
• Experience with SIL/HIL automation
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR, ASPICE, ISO 26262, or cybersecurity standards

Maintains safe work practices, complies with Magna H&S requirements, and participates in training and hazard reporting.
