Job summary

Magna Powertrain engineers an advanced gearbox architecture for hybrid and eDrive systems. The role focuses on design and development of transmission architecture for automotive applications, requiring extensive gearbox knowledge and system-level understanding of eDrive and AWD platforms.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical/Electrical/Automotive/Controls background with 3–8 years’ experience, and hands-on skills in safety, testing, and performance simulations.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, Control Engineering or Mechatronics.
  • 3-8 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
  • Extensive knowledge of Gearbox architecture for automotive applications (Hybrids/eDrives).

Responsibilities

  • Good knowledge on Gearbox Architecture of eDrive, AWD/4WD.
  • Understanding on Sub modules like Parklock, Decoupler, eLSD, Shift Unit, Clutches, Oil Pumps, Sensors and Actuators.
  • Understanding of Lubrication/Cooling, NVH, Durability/Reliability, EMC, Thermal Management.
  • DVP, Test-Management, Measurement technology of Gearbox.
  • System level understanding of eDrive, AWD/4WD.
  • Understanding on Driving Dynamics.
  • Know how to the efficiency calculation and functional simulation.

Job title: Engineer Gearbox Architecture

Job Introduction: We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer specializing in Transmission Systems (Hybrids and eDrives), with a focus on the design and development of Gearbox for automotive applications. The ideal applicant should have an extensive knowledge of Gearbox and its complete architecture.

Major Responsibilities
  • Good knowledge on Gearbox Architecture of eDrive, AWD/4WD.
  • Understanding on Sub modules like Parklock, Decoupler, eLSD, Shift Unit, Clutches, Oil Pumps, Sensors and Actuators
  • Understanding of Lubrication/Cooling, NVH, Durability/Reliability, EMC, Thermal Management
  • DVP , Test-Management, Measurement technology of Gearbox

  • Understanding on Driving Dynamics.

Educational Qualifications

Well-founded technical education (university degree) in one of the following disciplines - Mechanical / electrical / automotive / control engineering or mechatronics
