Job summary

Dyson is seeking engineers for the Advanced NPD team to prototype, test concepts, and turn bold ideas into tangible innovations. You will work across electronics, design, and software to push Dyson’s products forward.

A first degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, electronic, or software engineering and 2–3 years in a product or technical development environment are required. You are a curious problem-solver, collaborative, and able to communicate clearly with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• A first degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, electronic, or software engineering.
• 2-3 years' experience in a product or technical development environment.
• Curious problem solver and innovator with examples of innovation or creativity.
• Multidisciplinary capability spanning CAD, coding, electronics, systems, and mechatronics.
• Engineering principles in airflow, acoustics, and electronics.
• Disruptive and observant; able to critique designs and suggest improvements.
• Customer-centric mindset balancing technical requirements with value and manufacturability.
• Good communicator capable of presenting ideas to technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Support innovation and concept generation with fresh ideas and problem-solving.
• Own CAD models to design, build and test concepts.
• Develop test plans, control variables, and present results clearly.
• Collaborate in sprint meetings and support project timelines and targets.
• Contribute to setting technical requirements (pressure, power, flow, performance) via analysis and test results.
• Assist in selecting components based on performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Work with engineers, upstream technology teams, internal teams, and suppliers to transfer technology.
