Job summary

Dyson GmbH in the Philippines seeks engineers for its Advanced NPD team, turning novel concepts into mature product offerings through hands-on prototyping and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

You will own CAD models, design test plans, run experiments, and contribute to technical requirements such as pressure, power, flow and performance while collaborating with electronics, design, software and suppliers to deliver innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• First degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, electronic, or software engineering.
• 2-3 years' experience in a product or technical development environment.
• Curious problem solver and innovator with demonstrated creativity.
• Multi-disciplinary capability: CAD, coding, electronics, systems, mechatronics.
• Engineering principles: airflow, acoustics, electronics.
• Disruptive and observant: critique design and suggest improvements.
• Customer-centric mindset balancing technical requirements to maximise product value and minimise cost.

Responsibilities

• Support innovation and concept generation by bringing fresh ideas and solving problems.
• Own CAD models, help design, build and test concepts.
• Understand test plans, control variables and present results clearly.
• Work as part of a team on projects, participate in sprint meetings.
• Contribute to setting technical requirements (pressure, power, flow, performance) with analysis and tests.
• Assist in selecting and specifying components based on performance, cost, manufacturability.
• Collaborate with engineers, upstream technology teams, internal teams, and suppliers to support delivery and transfer of technology.
• Adapt to changing project requirements and reprioritise work as needed.
• Suggest improvements by reviewing past solutions and discussing alternatives.
