Job summary

Fyfe Pty Ltd in the Philippines seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to support projects for Australian clients, mainly MV distribution network design for rural gas infrastructure. The role is based in the Philippines with remote work to Australia, focusing on LV/HV systems and design consultancy experience.

You will work with Etap/EMTP/PSCAD modelling, adhere to AS standards, deliver drawings and studies, and collaborate across teams to ensure safe, compliant energy projects.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years relevant experience for a design consultancy.
• Previous exposure to Australian projects.
• Diverse experience including experience on Energy projects.
• Proven experience in design, analysis, and delivery of electrical works in energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, codes, and regulations.
• High level communication, interpersonal and team management skills.
• Advanced time management, planning and organisational skills.
• Advanced initiative and ability to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical engineering design within a design consultancy.
• Design LV/HV power generation and distribution systems.
• Model electrical systems using ETAP, EMTP or PSCAD.
• Perform HV and LV power system studies and analyses.
• Produce electrical drawings such as single line diagrams and cable block diagrams.
• HV & LV switchboard design per AS 61439 and related controls.
• Apply Australian Standards (AS 3000, AS 3008, IEEE 1584, NFPA 70, IEEE S80).
• Experience with wind, solar or BESS electrical design is highly regarded.
