Job summary

ZigZag is seeking an Electrical Designer to join our team in the Philippines. You will report to an Australian engineering services partner and contribute to electrical and control design for large industrial projects.

The role requires a 5–7 year track record in mining or related industrial sectors, strong AutoCAD skills, and a detail-oriented, collaborative mindset. Opportunities to work across power, instrumentation, and control disciplines are available along with supporting tools like

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation & Control engineering or equivalent.
5–7 years of mining, water, industrial, or oil & gas experience.
AutoCAD design and drafting experience required.
Power systems analysis and PLC/SCADA knowledge are a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical and control deliverables such as single-line diagrams and schematics.
Prepare general arrangement drawings, BOMs, construction specifications.
Create load lists, instrument lists, I/O lists, and cable schedules.
Produce layouts, installation drawings, and hazardous area classifications.
Interpret standards, manage documents, and ensure quality control per client specs.
Collaborate with engineers to understand requirements and interpret notes.
Provide service across Power, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control disciplines.
Utilize AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, RedEye, and Trello.
