Job summary

AF Payments Inc. seeks an Electrical Design & Estimation Engineer to ensure precise electrical designs and cost-efficient project estimates. The role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office, and experience in large infrastructure projects.

You will lead quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and ensure estimates align with PEC/IEC standards while collaborating with project teams to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications (ECE), or Computer Engineering
• 2 to 5 years of progressive experience in technical engineering
• Registered PRC license preferred (e.g., REE, RECE)
• Experience in AFCS, Railway Systems, or large-scale Public Infrastructure
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and MS Office Suite
• Excellent command of English for drafting technical reports and coordinating with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical load calculations including connected vs demand load and apply demand/diversity factors
• Size feeders, branch circuits and select protective devices
• Prepare BOQ and document quantities
• Take-off quantities from technical drawings
• Estimate material and labor costs accurately
• Validate estimates and resolve design gaps or revisions
• Plan cable routing and ensure compliance with standards
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between site conditions and drawings
• Apply value engineering and cost optimization techniques
• Troubleshoot design and implementation issues
